Automatic Parallelizer Benchmark Suite: bemap - Open Source

bemap, or the Automatic Parallelizer Benchmark Suite (APBS), is an open-source benchmark designed to measure and evaluate automatic parallelization tools. This project integrates a comprehensive suite of OpenCL code benchmarks that are systematically tested alongside manual debugging iterations for accuracy. A detailed user interface with extensive help options allows precise measurement of execution time at each tuning stage, offering insights into the optimization process across various adjustments. Additionally, each benchmark folder includes an exact C++ implementation to serve as a reference point in performance analysis and comparison. Through these benchmarks, users can assess:

1. How best to tune/optimize automatic parallelizer compilers through iterative testing and refinement;

2. The presence of appropriate optimizations within compiler internals. This project receives partial funding from the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO).
