Effective Control Strategy for Grid Connected Photovoltaic System

In a Grid Connected Photovoltaic (GCPV) system, it is crucial to have an effective control strategy to prevent disconnection during grid faults and load curtailment. This can be achieved through a Multimode Inverter Control Strategy that enables Low Voltage Ride Through (LVRT) and High Voltage Ride Through (HVRT) capability. During grid faults, the control strategy regulates the DC link voltage and grid currents, preventing over-current on the grid side. Similarly, when demand is suddenly removed, the control strategy maintains voltage stability at the Point of Common Coupling (PCC) to prevent damage to the PV inverters and unnecessary disconnection of the GCPV system.
