Abstract The harm of power grid“flicker”problem on continuous production of process industries is analyzed. Combining with the solutions for this kind of accidents in practical producing activities，an intelligent flicker protection system based on single chip computer is constructed. The equipment or system suffered from the flicker will be recovered and automatically started up within a fixed time period，thus the production is protected effectively.
