Minimum Horizontal Blanking Specification Several cases define the minimum blanking time requirements. Vertical blanking times are normally multiples of the horizontal line times and do not place a constraint on performance. (HDMI requires at least two line times in each vertical blanking interval.) The minimum horizontal blanking time depends on the mode. An HSYNC or VSYNC edge can occur in any clock cycle except when active video data is being transmitted.
