NetBackup integrates the database backup and recovery capabilities of the Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) with the backup and recovery management capabilities of NetBackup. Figure 1-1 shows the major components in a NetBackup configuration. The server that hosts the Oracle database must be a NetBackup client. The master server must also have NetBackup for Oracle licensed.
